Mother hears much better with the Diglo than her $7,000 hearing aids!!

Not long after I got this system, the speaker stopped working. So mad, I just through it away.

What a blessing!! I spent 8 months convincing my Dad he was almost deaf and needed hearing aids. It was to the point I would carry around throat lozenges to soothe my worn out throat yelling to him. He finally agreed to go to a hearing aid center. Although his eyes lit up when the technician installed the aids and the world came alive, he spent 2 weeks trying to practice using and inserting a dummy pair, but because of his numb fingers and hands, he just couldn't get the hang of it. We were all so sad at his defeat. And then I found the Diglo website and personal amplifiers. The staff person was wonderful, and actually recommended this less expensive model. My 94 year old Dad can take part in conversations again, and he isn't in as deep of a fog. I believe if we had found this product 1 or 2 years ago, some of his deteriorated verbal understanding would have been avoided. (English is a 2nd language for him). My Dad is oh so tickled that he paid a little over $ 100 instead of $ 2500 for hearing aids, and brags to all his elderly brothers. I replaced the low- end headphones with some comfortable, padded ones. The money-back guarantee was a nice touch, to dispel any fears they wouldn't work . A very happy daughter!

Cannot live without it

I'm not sure what is going on with William Sound, but the quality of the Pocketalkers has gone downhill the last several years. As a hearing impaired disability advocate, I used to recommend this product to doctors offices and hospitals, but the last few that I've used (and I'm usually the first or second to use them has horrible static, even if I use my own ear buds (that work fine with my phone). One, I'd say maybe it got dropped, Five - there is a serious problem.
