I have used the Williams Sound Pocket Talker for many years with great success, it reproduces the sound better than most hearing aids I have tried thru the years, only problem , it is much more bulky than the hearing aid, and I need to use the 12' mic extension cord to be able to hear the ther person if they have a real soft voice, and the cord is a bit of a problem sometimes. With this FM set, the sound quality is as good as the Pocket Talker, and no cord or wires required between the transmitter and the receiver, Personally, I wish I had found out about it a long time ago! But I must add- - - my hearing is VERY much impaired , I have to have some sort of aid to be able to hear at all, and the ear piece is super important too me, most of the head set's do me no good, I need the kind that protrude into the ar canal, ( such as the ear/bud) that came with my FM receiver. I would reccomend the FM set to any one that is pretty muchly hearing impaired, the results are worth the purchase price. DDW
