The Sonic Boom alarm clock from Sonic Alert offers you 3 different options for waking up: by light, bed shaker, or an adjustable buzzer. Ideal for even the heaviest of sleepers.
The Sonic Alert clock has a built-in outlet for plugging in a lamp and an auxiliary jack for a bed shaker (included). The lamp can be used for both reading and flashing. Includes bed shaker, battery back-up (battery not included) and snooze button.
If you want to use this clock as a receiver to be notified of events in other rooms, you will need to purchase a signaler or transmitter that will activate this receiver.

I have used the Sonic Boom since the late 1990s. They do wear out but it is the only way I can wake up on time (as long as I don't hit the snooze button to many times!). Thank you so much for a great product.

I am deaf without my hearing processors for cochlear implants, which, of course, I can't wear while sleeping. I LOVE this clock! The vibrator alone wakes me.

I had a different alarm clock that involved a flashing light and vibration shaker since 1995. Now I had to look for a new one which was not easy to find in 2022 because many require USB for cell phones. I was able to find one at diglo that does not require a USB, so I purchased Sonic Alert Boom. I am happy with this new product. It works wonderfully with flashing lights and a vibration shaker.

I had similar products from 2004. Years ago, it was very simple and easy to use Sonic Alert clock! Unfortunately, it was already broke when storm cause power outages and suddenly it cause few of malfunction of my old alarm clock stopped working. I received Jan 25th on time. I loved it! I have a white alarm at my home. Other black sonic alarm i had it for years during high school years in the 90s. at my parents house ( still working ! the shaker seems to retire soon moderate vibrating it is still good) When I turned on the vibrator it startled me ( scared me the heck out of it and it is new) Lately, I use a lamp ( it has sound BEEP Beep!) when i have my hearing aid on while i am taking a nap to see no sound or not.. yes it was. :) At night, i see the clock with green light dimmer ( i think new additonal) . I love it still. I picked simple and cute clock !

I purchased this clock 2 months ago and so far my husband and I absolutely love it! Our last clock couldn't flash a lamp but this one can which is why we like it. We also like the 5 year warranty that comes with it. My only complaint is that I no longer have an excuse to sleep in, smile.

Since I can no longer hear without my hearing aids I have come to depend on this clock for over 10 years. I do not have a clue about other models.....this is the one for me.
I put the vibrator under my pillow and have the light switch on also.
When the alarm goes off in the morning I feel the vibrations through my pillow..... and since I have the vibrator high on my pillow it also shakes the bedframe.
smile,,,,,, something my husband is not so keen on.
The lamp goes off and on, off and on, off and on. And is really annoying so I jump to turn it off, which usually get me out of bed. But when I want to sleep an extra 9 minutes I can also opt to hit the snooze button. But then you have to go throught the whole thing again.
AND>>>>>>> if that is not enough you can also turn the buzzer volume to screech the most annoying sound for those of you that can still hear.
I gotta tell you. If you want to get divorced from your hearing spouse get one of these quick. They will sleep in a different house just to get away from it.

I've use these kinds of alarm clocks for over 10 years now. They work great. I am hard of hearing so I cannot hear the conventional alarm clocks. I use both the vibration and lamp blinking methods....
However, there are some things that can make this clock a better product.
1.) one or two alarm time slots should be added to ease the settings for weekends and holidays.
2.) Make the clock not display the time unless someone waves their hand in front of it. Doing this should save electricity and take the bright green glow out of the bedroom allowing people who need perfect darkness to sleep.

At first I got this product and found this is really useful to have since we are hard of hearing, I had tried few different products in the past til I got this one several years ago (have to reorder this one again) until now my poor alarm clock conked out it final wheeze. I would personally recommend this product to anyone who wish to have one to wake up to.
*it would be nice to have a bit of discount for repeat customers, but I don't mind!

This purchase will be probably at least the third clock of this type I have made in about 3 years. My experience is that the clock and vibrator work great until the vibrator dies, which seems to have happened to me after about one year of use each time. I have cochlear implants, so am totally deaf when I remove them at night. The vibrator shakes the pillow hard enough to wake me every time. Just wish it would give some notice that it is going bad. My husband has heard the clock alarm from far parts of the house, so the sound is also great if you can hear at all.

I have had to have assistive awakening devices for almost 30 years now. I purchased one of these clocks right after they came out, another about 10 years ago and I am about to purchase my third one. I have found nothing else that I can hear, adjust the sound to the few tones my deaf ears will hear and shake my bed and pulsate my bedside lamp that is plugged into it all at one time. I am nearly totally deaf AND a very sound sleeper as well. This is a must have if you are a sound sleeper or deaf or both. IT IS A '10' FOR SURE.

I have had this clock for over 7 years with no problem, it still works fine. My hearing husband even loves it because the shaking and flashing light is easier to wake up to. It's nice to have the one-touch to turn on a lamp in the middle of the night, too. The only drawback is that the battery would not fit in the slot so cannot use the battery-backup option. So if the power goes out, I am out of luck. Luckily, that does not happen much where I am. Don't know it that is something with this model in general or just the one I go.

I've bought this clock many times over the years. It's my favorite. It's loud, the bed shaker is the best, and it has dual alarms which is great for me and my husband. My biggest issue is that I only get about a year out of it and I have to buy a new one. It's always the same issue... the bed shaker starts shaking erratically and unplugging it is the only solution. The one I recently bought is perfect but I only expect about a year from it.

I bought this clock two times. The first one, the buttons stop working. The second clock's buttons are starting to break down. I love this clock but the time display is TOO BRIGHT and too GREEN! I had to cover the time. I would buy again if only the time LED are red and it have brightness adjustable. This clock is the only one that have lamp connection!! :( :(

I had a ShakeAway until the poor thing died. It's totally dependable for me - and I work all kinds of shifts so knowing I won't oversleep is huge. At this point, I'm only using the vibrate. For me to hear the volume would wake the neighbors! I find the controls very easy to use.
One sis uses a strobe alarm so this would fit the bill. Since the strobe also wakes her husband, she'd have the option of vibrate.
I gave 5 stars because this unit does everything it claims. It won't "match your decor" but it gets the job done. I have asked for another travel vibrating alarm for Christmas. This one is not convenient for travel.
I have shopped with Diglo since they were the only place available. I still buy by mail because I know they stand behind their products.

Something is wrong with the vibrator even if I shut off the alarm and hit the button to turn off it still vibrates. I have to unplug it daily to get it to not vibrate. I'm debating to get my money back or I hope they give me a diff clock. Something is wrong with this one.

During college I had this exact type of alarm clock and it worked perfectly for many years, then I got a second one and that one died after four years. Recently, I bought another alarm clock, but it has been going off at random times of the day like 4 am, which has been frustrating. This is 2nd times the DOR bought Sonic Boom for someone who is heavy sleepy and I've used it for a while then it did not vibrate very well. I get up late for work and so desperately needing of a good vibration that could kick me off the bed!!!
2nd the next new alarm itself did not work and I had to replace a new one and the electric system acted up so I don't know which is wrong with the alarm or the vibration...

I have had my alarm for over 15 years now, and have never had any issues with it. My brother has had the exact same model for over 10 years, also no issues!
For those who have had problems with the alarm turning on at random times, check the small switch on the bottom that says "receiver" and make sure it is in the off position.

I owned the older black Sonic Boom alarm clock and loved it all to pieces! But when I got my hearing dog, he woke me up fine with a regular alarm clock so I gave my Sonic Boom away.
Now years later, my elderly dog is "retired" from alerting me to sounds I can't hear so I purchased a new Sonic Boom.
This newer model adds more flexibility that the original didn't have (read the white model description -- the original was vibrator/lamp flash and tone/volume sound alarm only). You may or not ever need the additional functions, but it's nice to have those options.

I was trained by waking up with light switching in the morning growing up . Now I told my husband it is time for the alarm clock with the lamp cause he will not be around . So I ordered the sonic alert boom box . I did some testing first before using it .Oh , boy , I loved it so much . I used with lamp flasher with no volume or vibrating . Never wake up late for grave yard shift !

After using the alarm clock with vibrate and lamp for a week, the alarm would beep and the light would flash and it would vibrate periodically all day and night. Didn't know what we were hearing and seeing at first. When I went to bed I found out. Kept me up all night. Needed the alarm to wake so I couldn't shut it off. Several times an hour it would wake me. After investigating, I unplugged the lamp, so I don't have that option anymore, and I don't have it going off all day and night. Love it otherwise. Wish that I had more options on the volume and tone I prefer a bassy pulse sound to wake me.

This is the second alarm we have purchased from Diglo for my hearing impaired son. He had one several years back and as a young boy, he literally destroyed it. he is now a junior in high school and needed an alarm clock so he could gain more independence and privacy in waking for school. This clock is perfect. It vibrates the bed and the audible tones can be adjusted to the right pitch for him. Thanks!

The product works as expected. One little disturbance. Whenever I turn on the lamp, the alarm runs a test on itself. The lamp is not plugged into the device but both are plugged into a power strip. I work nights. The volume and vibration work very well in waking me.

Only had this clock for a couple weeks but I love it. I finally have a clock I can hear, I got the shaker also but only used it to see how it worked, don't really need it alarm is all I need don't even have it turned up half way. I only wish the snooze button was as big as the lamp button.

My cat chewed on my 2nd clock power cord and that was the reason I had to buy my 3rd one! On the 2nd day I used this clock, I got up late for work, but havent since. Its a bit different than my last one, but so far, its working great! Since I paid $90 for this, I hope it will last a long time!

Wife has very bad genetic hearing loss and wears hearing aids in both ears for which there is still some problem. She takes the aids out at night of course. Bought this alarm clock because it has several modes to wake someone up with hearing loss. We found that the sound with tone was difficult for her to hear. What works best for her has been the Super Shaker and her Light on the night stand flashing. So far she has been very pleased with the results of waking her up. I'm pleased because so far it has been a blessing. May be back with updates as needed. Thank you !

I've had cheaper versions of the bed shaker alarm clocks, but they didn't last long. Decided to invest in an alarm clock with a longer warranty. It works very well and doesn't wake up my neighbors.
