I always recommend this book to those parents are just starting out with their children and ASL and for teachers in SE. It's easy enough for the parents to "get it" and it helps the child's communication skills immensely no matter their language or hearing difficulty. I've used it with children that stutter, are non-verbal autistic, suffer speech impediments or have hearing or sound processing difficulties. Sign seems to be the place all language starts and the basics remove language barriers which reduces frustration on all sides. Thank you for this wonderful book and especially for the added bonus of the fingerspelling poster.
