I ordered this device for my 98 year old aunt. I did not read the description well enough - this device will work ONLY on a corded telephone. Technical support told me there was one for a cordless phone, but he was unaware if the device worked as well.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, you are correct that the UA-45 is for a corded phone. We do carry the UA-30, which fits over the ear piece of a cordless phone and amplifies the sound coming from that ear piece. I'll place the link below for reference. I'd hoped that the tone control would help me understand certain callers, but it didn't. My hearing isn't that bad, so didn't really need much more volume. The unit squeals quite a bit, so there's no way I'd keep it. I've no idea whether it would help someone with severe hearing loss.

This device is awesome. Easy to use. I have not used my left ear on the phone for many years. Now I can. If you have hearing problems this will certainly help with a corded phone.

I have hearing aids but have difficulty hearing on my house phone. This phone amplifier is a miracle product. I have the dial set on low and can hear perfectly. Wish I had known about this years ago. The price is right, the product is very well designed and so easy to install. Thank You Diglo for making this product available to the public. I'll be telling my deaf friends about this great product so their lives can improve.
