The Mixed-Up Chameleon by Eric Carle is a magical story about a chameleon who was not satisfied just changing colors and catching flies. He thought it would be so exciting to change into the wonderful animals he saw in a zoo. The chameleon wanted to be smart like a fox, swim like a fish or run like a deer. He got his wish, and soon he was a little bit of everything. He was so mixed up, he couldn't catch flies anymore. That made him wish he could go back to being a chameleon...because he was happier being just the way he was.

This is delightful storytelling for young Deaf children and children learning American Sign Language. Adults seeking to improve their sign language storytelling skills will find this a useful teaching aid. Signed in ASL by Linsay Darnall, Jr.

[Brenda Schick, Ph.D. Mary Pat Moeller, M.S.; DVD: 17 minutes; signed in ASL; voiced; closed captioned] DVDs not returnable once opened.
